Dr. Neway Argaw
Founder & CEO
Dr. Neway Argaw founded Integrated Power Systems (IPS) in 2005, after its predecessor company “Renewable Energy Solutions” was established in 2003. With a vision to make renewable energy accessible and reliable, and over 45 years of experience in renewable energy technologies, Dr. Argaw has led IPS to deliver innovative energy solutions across North America, Canada, the Caribbeans, South America, India, China, South Korea and Africa.
Dr. Argaw holds PhD in Renewable Energy Technology, MSc in Water and Environmental Engineering, and Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering, and has extensive experience in photovoltaic system design, grid integration, energy storage, and power electronics. He provides validation and certification services for industries, and develop PAN and OND files for PVSyst software. He has authored numerous technical publications and has contributed to international standards development for distributed generation and Utility-Scale solar energy systems.
Under his leadership, IPS has become a trusted partner for commercial, utility-scale, and institutional clients seeking sustainable energy solutions that maximize return on investment.

Our Story
The story of IPS began in 2003, when Dr. Neway Argaw established “Renewable Energy Solutions” with a vision to bring reliable, clean power to businesses and communities. With deep expertise gained through decades of work in power systems engineering and renewable energy research, Dr. Argaw saw an opportunity to bridge the gap between cutting-edge solar technology and real-world implementation.
In 2005, the company was rebranded as Integrated Power Systems, Inc. (IPS) to reflect its expanded scope of services. The new name represented the company’s holistic approach to energy solutions — integrating multiple power technologies into cohesive, reliable systems tailored to each client’s needs.
Over the years, IPS has grown from a small consulting firm into a full-service renewable energy company, delivering utility-scale solar farms, commercial rooftop installations, EV charging infrastructure, smart street lighting systems, and off-grid power solutions across North America and internationally.
